Follow me on 'Xiao Fan Du' and become a super individual together
I am a programmer named Kaku, and many of my predecessors have grown into industry leaders through hard work and opportunities. As a younger entrepreneur, I firmly believe that reliability is the cornerstone of entrepreneurial success, and success belongs to hardworking individuals like you, me, and him.
A famous quote from a senior that still leaves a deep impression today: "To learn to be your own agent, first learn to sell yourself
Leaving the workplace and transitioning to independent entrepreneurship to create one's own IP has achieved a leap from being a code farmer to a brand IP. Be an individual entrepreneur in the new era, sharing the joys and sorrows of the journey of entrepreneurship.
An order that collapsed last year, and this year the customer has approached me again. To be honest, what specific order is it? I completely forgot everything we talked about .....
After 2 years of entrepreneurship, this is the first time I have encountered a customer who has not completed a transaction and initiated a second inquiry.
After a simple communication, I finally remembered the reason for the "breakdown": "unsuitable". Whether it's starting a business,
taking orders, or working together, ultimately it's about mutual cooperation. Customers pay for our work, and the difference is the price.
The reason why I rejected this order at the time was:
The backend of the project is Java, as well as native Android and iOS clients, but there is some code loss
The budget is not high, and customers value "cost-effectiveness" mor
Uncontrollable risks need to be borne by the recipien
Looking back now, not accepting the order back then was also a stroke of luck. Currently, there are still significant issues with this order,
mainly due to the missing code. This problem is fundamentally unsolvable unless one thoroughly understands the code and makes up for it bit by bit.
So the problem is: customers are unwilling to pay for the pitfalls left by the previous technology
Is this order still valuable? To run incomplete code again, we cannot only look at the past but also consider the cost
In today's world, I seem to have several choices
1. After comprehensive evaluation of the technical cost of restarting the project, if it is too high, it is better to give up decisively and purchase mature systems on the market. After all, there are many mature systems for e-commerce businesses.
2. Develop a flexible budget, give up absolute "cost-effectiveness", just to find reliable people.
What if I were to hand over such an order to you? How would you choose?
